To provide a forum whereby home education parents of the Charlotte Harbor and surrounding areas can support and encourage one another.
 
 
CHOICE History
 
Choice started in August 2001 at the Punta Gorda Library as a parents monthly get together from another homeschool group. It was brought about to offer support to those of us who lived in Charlotte County, but had to travel to either Lee or Sarasota counties for a support group. The parents organized and formed what is now known as Charlotte Harbor Organization of Independent Child Educators or CHOICE. Our meeting location has change to various parks located in Charlotte county, but our mission has remained clear - to be all inclusive of local homeschoolers regardless of religious or homeschooling preferences and to respect the diversity of our members.
About Us
 
Leadership: Coordinator positions are positions of voluntary service. While all members are expected to serve from their talents and abilities, some administrative and directional decisions are best made by a small group of advisors.
Financial: CHOICE will be accountable to its membership for use of funds to ensure funds are used for the benefit of the group.
Respect: In order to encourage free and open exchange of ideas, we will show respect to differing opinions and philosophies. CHOICE neither mandates nor prohibits the free expression of educational and religious philosophies.
